Class Description: A 7-week program for families with children entering kindergarten. This is a family skills program where parents and children each have their own instructor. This program is designed for the family’s transition to starting school and provides young children with skills to promote success as they grow. Parents learn ways to encourage school success through supporting positive behaviors and good family communication.

Week 2: Empathy, needs, and self-esteem
Week 3: Personal power and self-worth
Week 4: Discipline, morals, values, and family rules
Week 5: Responses to challenging behaviors
Week 6: Alternatives to harsh disciplines
Week 7: Managing stress and anger, and celebration
